Further information

We are looking for a flexible, creative and self-motivated person to join the small but very busy Communications & Marketing Team. If you have experience in dealing with complex media enquiries, writing articles for publication, handling marketing campaigns and managing social media channels, then we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate will be someone who thrives on challenge, with a positive attitude, meticulous attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.

You’ll be joining a team where each day is different and often unpredictable. You’ll be helping to lead our communications response to the Covid-19 pandemic and will be capable of managing a large and frequently changing workload and you will work regularly with senior members of staff and councillors.

If you have the skills, knowledge, experience, and energy to help drive forward the Council’s communications, media and marketing functions in a very busy, constantly changing and fast moving environment we want to hear from you.

In return, as an employer, we can offer you:

- An opportunity to join the local government pension scheme
- 31 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata)
- Cycle to work scheme in partnership with Halfords (salary sacrifice)
- Additional leave purchase scheme (salary sacrifice)
- Ongoing training and development
- Access to Occupational Health, physiotherapy and counselling services
- Reduced membership to the Dolphin Centre's Fit for Life Package
