Commissioning Support Officer


The service is looking to appoint a Commissioning Support Officer.

You will be based within the Commissioning Team and provide technical support to Commissioning and Contract Management, maintaining and analysing electronic data for providers commissioned to deliver social care services on behalf of the Council. You will support the setting up of new contracts ensuring fee records are accurately maintained and provide project support to commissioning development areas.

You must have knowledge of office based software packages ie Microsoft, techinical support databases ie Care First, Agresso, social care and health services. It would be beneficial if you had knowledge of Local Government commissioning and procurement processes.

You will have experience of, working knowledge of techincial data bases, word processing and spreadsheet systems including input, retrieval, collection of information and producing reports, effective numerical skills including and understanding financial monitoring systems, effective written and oral communication skills, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with partners, providers and service users, implementation and development of manual and computerised business support systems, working independently and using own initiative.

You must have an NVQ Level 3 in Business Admin or equivalent and relevant experience.
