TVMS, the Lead Partner in the Music Education Hub for the Tees Valley, is looking to recruit a pool of Casual Whole Class Music Teachers and Tutors.
We need Tutors who can teach at least one instrument (or voice) and Qualified Teachers (Whole Class Teachers) who can teach whole class instrumental ensemble programmes, voice and whole class curriculum lessons for all ages. Candidates should be committed to supporting Stockton Borough Council and TVMS policies around Safeguarding, Quality Assurance, Health and Safety procedures and Inclusion. Successful applicants will be paid on the Main Pay Scale for Qualified Teachers (Whole Class Teachers) or the NJC pay range Grade I (Tutors).

We are seeking committed individuals with the skills to progress pupils at all stages of their musical development - whether that is Whole Class Ensemble Tuition, leading to performances, small group tuition progressing to ensembles or actively engaging with and promoting large scale performances and concerts.
If you are interested in applying for our Casual Pool please fill in the application form provided and write a supporting letter of no more than two pages of A4 outlining how you meet the essential and desirable criteria and have the knowledge, skills and experience outlined in the Job Description and Person Specification.

In your supporting statement please can you also include the times/days of the week/hours you’d be available to work for TVMS and information about your qualifications and which instruments (including voice and curriculum work) you could teach.
