Further information

“This is Redcar and Cleveland. We are an ambitious council keen to build on our strong track record of innovation and partnership working, ensuring that we create a flourishing future for the Borough and all of its residents. Key to this is a committed workforce who always gives their best. Offering a fast paced, progressive working environment, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council is a great career move.”

The Adults & Communities Directorate consists of four strands, Adult Care, Community Development, Public Health and Environment. Our aims are to continue to provide essential and highly valued services and to build capacity to enable local communities to make lasting change, improve quality of life and prosperity. As a directorate we lead on developing a culture of co-operation and co-production, respecting and nurturing the skills and talents of local people and enabling them to fulfil their potential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Adult Care business support function. The function works across the department’s social work teams to provide an efficient and comprehensive service to practitioners. As the lead you will ensure that resources are used efficiently to meet our statutory obligations and contribute to overall strategic objectives.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of business support staff, including managing performance to ensure efficient delivery of the business support function. The successful candidate will have a proven ability of proactively identifying opportunities for service development, growth, and improvement.

You will be joining a dynamic and ambitious department which has a sharp focus on service improvement and meeting the needs and aspirations of the local people within Redcar and Cleveland.

The Council holds ambassador status for the North East Better Health at Work Award.
