2 years fixed term (with the possibility to extend depending on funding)

The Campus@Northallerton (C@N) project is part of the former prison site at Northallerton and forms part of the Treadmills development that is being transformed into a retail, business and leisure complex.

C@N is a partnership between Hambleton District Council, the University of Sunderland and York College and will be an education provider allowing people and businesses access to a wide range of learning opportunities on their doorsteps. C@N will offer employers and individuals the opportunity to develop skills for personal and business growth and will address a challenge faced by many areas by opening up learning to the whole community, while retaining valuable skills and positively impacting the local economy.

C@N will be opening in January 2022 and the curriculum is expected to focus initially on digital skills and will feature face to face and blended learning as well as offer opportunities for employers to explore training and development solutions including apprenticeships and higher education qualifications.

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, reliable individual to work in C@N. The Business Centre Assistant – C@N will work with the Business Development Manager and Hambleton’s Business and Economy team to assist with the delivery of services and day to day running of the facility. The Business Centre Assistant role is to ensure a positive and responsive service to students and visitors and support the management of course enrolment, room bookings, reception duties and facilities management.

You will need to be flexible, enthusiastic and reliable, keen to make a difference and support C@N to achieve the aims of C@N. There will be times when you are working alone and evening work may also be required to meet the timetable of courses.

You would be expected to have an engaging personality and fantastic communication skills and have a real commitment to customer care.

If you are highly motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable and enjoy change and a challenge working with a great team this is the post for you!

Experience of working in a customer services environment would be advantageous.
