Are you looking for an opportunity to gain an NVQ Business Administration Qualification whilst gaining valuable work experience? Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has an exciting new opportunity within the Brokerage Team.
The team are responsible for identifying packages of care on behalf of Adult social work teams and the Children with Disabilities Team.

You will gain valuable work experience supporting the team with a range of administration and business support tasks. Including answering the phone, taking messages for colleagues and where possible solving simple queries independently. Logging work, clearing tasks and managing team workflow using web-based databases and Microsoft Excel. Updating Care System databases to reflect changes in funding and service level of social care customers. Sending confidential information securely using Microsoft Outlook in line with GDPR legislation and liaising with internal and external customer’s around the secure and accurate retrieval of documents. Attending and participating in team meetings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual who is self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an excellent service and be willing to learn and develop their knowledge.

As an apprentice you will be eligible to apply for Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council’s internal job vacancies as and when they arise within the Council.

Apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone over the age of 16 years old with no upper age limit. You will need a commitment to attend training to attain the appropriate level of functional skills (Maths, English and ICT) if these have not already been achieved.
