Together for Children works on behalf of Sunderland City Council to deliver children’s services in the city including social care, early help and education. We work with unborn babies and children/young people until they are 18 years old.

Our work consists of supporting children/young people and their families who are identified as Child in Need under s17 of the Children Act 1989 and Child Protection under s47 of the Children Act 1989 and Looked After Children under s20, s31, s38 Children Act 1989. Within each framework of intervention, we have clear procedures regarding visiting children and convening appropriate meetings. This includes completing assessments to enable child focused/SMART plans to be implemented, completing direct work with children/young people, completing reports for Child Protection Conferences/Reviews, Looked After Reviews and court directed assessments.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Assistant Team Manager who have the passion and drive to ensure that children and young people in Sunderland achieve the best outcomes and receive high quality services. Applicants must also have attained a Practice Educator Level 2 award.

Please note all applicants must have successfully completed Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
