The Service NCC operates 5 children’s homes including a national secure children home with education. Overall the service employs 130 care staff and 30 support services staff across the 5 sites. Our Homes accommodate 25 young people aged 6 - 17, our main aim is to offer an exceptional family focused caring environment where children and young people can feel safe and excelled in their abilities and futures. The service is regularly inspected by Ofsted, currently our homes are rated as Outstanding or Good with outstanding leadership and management. It is crucial that everyone in our team is committed to the best safe care of our young people. The Role To undertake internal and external building maintenance repairs, specifically joinery repairs to the highest standard. To assess and undertake repairs of all NCC residential Childrens Homes buildings and other premises. To work with contractors in completing the critical works and monitor progress and outcomes. To assist in leading projects, including developments of Building Maintenance, Security and Building Management. Estate management, build project, refurbishment and Health & Safety. You must have City & Guilds level 3 in Joinery or equivalent, a broad knowledge of building construction.
