We respect everyone as equally valued members of our community by listening to their views and using their opinions to help shape our services.

Are you the right person to help us to develop a brighter future for our children?

If you share the ethos of Redcar and Cleveland’s Children and Families Directorate, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.

We have a new Directorate management team who have a clear vision of
the Directorates ambitions to deliver outstanding services to children and
families. This is an ideal opportunity to join them in leading talented
teams who are committed to improving outcomes and life chances for
our children and young people.

The number of children needing our care is rising but we are providing
a quality service which attracts record numbers of foster carers to work
with us.

As our Assistant Director – Social Care and Early Help, you
will be a qualified social worker who will ensure that we safeguard
and nurture the most vulnerable, support families in need and that
we continually improve so that we deliver outstanding services.
You will work collaboratively with partners and other agencies to

are well equipped and inspired to go on to fulfil their ambitions
and potential in the future.
