4 Year Apprenticeship
We are looking for 2 hard-working, motivated and enthusiastic candidates to join the Building Services team as an Apprentice Plumber/Domestic Heating Technician. In this role you will be responsible for providing a full range of plumbing/heating duties working on various domestic and commercial properties in a fast moving and dynamic environment. You will be friendly, professional and demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times.
Examples of work to be undertaken include
•To complete the full range of plumbing related tasks associated with the repair, maintenance and refurbishment of our properties
•Completing a range of commercial installation related tasks.
Previous experience is not necessary to apply for this role but we’re welcoming applications from those candidates that show potential, determination and a drive to succeed. In return we can give you the opportunity to start your career under the management of our experienced staff and receive high quality training.
This apprentice post will require you to undertake the Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician apprenticeship and you will be required to attend Gateshead College 1 day per week. You will be supported through the apprenticeship by a College assessor and you will also receive regular mentoring in the workplace from your supervisor and team.
Candidates will need to demonstrate that they have an interest in plumbing and domestic heating and prior knowledge/experience would be preferable. Ideally candidates will have or expect to achieve 3 GCSEs at grade 4 (grade C) or above in Maths and English. Candidates with equivalent qualifications or who have the ability to achieve a Level 2 in Maths/English alongside the apprenticeship are also encouraged to apply.
