Further information

Horizons Specialist Academy Trust consists of five academies and one sixth form across the Tees Valley area serving a population of approximately 550 students aged 5 to 19 with a broad range of learning difficulties.

Hollis Academy is situated in Middlesbrough and provides for 85 pupils aged 11 to 16 years who have SEMHD as their identified primary need. Hollis Academy joined the Trust in October 2016 as a sponsor academy. Since that time, rapid progress towards improvement has been realised due to the commitment of the staff team and Senior Leadership Team.

The Trust wishes to appoint an experienced administrator to join the Trust's dynamic administration team. The post holder will work under the current Office Manager and the main duties will include greeting visitors to the academy, answering the telephone and other general administrative tasks that will support the students and staff such as home to school transport queries and inputting information on SIMS.

The successful candidate will have a friendly personality and possess excellent communication and keyboard/IT skills as well as the ability to show initiative in dealing with enquiries and providing support within the administration team. Applicants will have a minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant discipline or appropriate experience. Experience of working in a school setting and knowledge of working with SIMS would be an advantage but not essential.

There is an expectation that all our staff will work across the Trust as necessary and the post holder may be asked to work at any of the offices across the five academies.

Visits to the academy are welcome. To arrange this and/or to obtain an application form and further information please e-mail Julie Povall, HR clerk on julie.povall@horizonstrust.org.uk. Please do not contact Hollis Academy directly.

Completed application forms should be returned by 12 noon on Friday 21st June 2019 to:
Julie Povall, HR clerk by email to julie.povall@horizonstrust.org.uk or by post to Julie Povall, c/o Abbey Hill Academy (Registered Office), Ketton Road, Stockton-on-Tees. TS19 8BU.
