"The Blyth Riverside Resource Centre is a Northumberland County Council Adult Care Service providing care and support to people with learning and physical disabilities in south east Northumberland. We are committed to providing a person centred service for adults with a learning disability through the provision of daytime activities and person centred care and support. The service aims to offer opportunities for service users to contribute positively to the community, access activities which offer high quality relaxation, and develop and maintain relationships. We work in partnership with other agencies to ensure service users get the support they need to live healthy, safe and fulfilling life. The service aims to promote the principles of Valuing People and Valuing People Now, with a focus on: rights, independence, choice and inclusion for people with a learning disability and/or autism. An exciting opportunity has become available for a full time permanent Administration Assistant post working at the Blyth Riverside Resource Centre. As an Administration Assistant you will play a key role as the first point of contact in responding to enquiries from carers care professionals and partner agencies relating to the operational provision of the service. The role will involve a range of tasks which include; dealing with telephone enquiries, raising orders, processing invoices, maintain financial records, handling petty cash, banking, maintain a register of attendance, maintain financial records for charges for meals and transport, minute taking, maintaining electronic records, carrying out customer satisfaction surveys, raising repairs and other general administrative duties including, photocopying, archiving and filing. You will have experience of working in a customer focused environment, dealing with members of the public in person, over the phone and communicating effectively. Good organisational and IT skills are essential and you should be committed to delivering excellent customer service at all times. You should have some experience in a similar role possess NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a business related discipline.
