North Tyneside Council is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible Assistant to carry out front-line duties in Libraries, Community Centres and Customer First Centres. This is a customer-facing role and you must be committed to providing excellent customer care to a wide range of customers.

Duties include reception and basic enquiry work, delivering activities to groups of children and adults, physical management of library stock, re-shelving returned items, setting up rooms for events / activities, a wide range of clerical routines and use of the Council and libraries computer system. You should possess good inter-personal and ICT skills and be able to lift and handle heavy items.

Some weekend and evening work will be required.
