North Tyneside Council has 3 vacancies for full time (37 hours per week) Administration Officers within Adult Social Care, this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

We are seeking to recruit highly motivated people. Responsibilities include providing administrative support to social care staff and finance officers.

To work at the direction of the Service Manager, Team Co-ordinator and in collaboration with other team members to contribute to the efficient and effective working of the team.

This will specifically include:

Maintaining records of interventions with customers including personal and sensitive data, ensuring that all data is handled and stored in line with Council policy and the Data Protection Act.

Contribute to improvement and development of office systems, this includes the update and maintenance of management information systems, LAS financial monitoring and transactions, and performance data. Ensuring that service providers are paid in a timely manner and updating appropriate management systems to monitor transactional data.

Handling and reconciliation of incoming and outgoing finances in accordance with financial regulations.

Excellent interpersonal skills are needed as you will be required to speak with clients and members of partner organisations. Excellent written skills are also required as well as being able to operate a range of Microsoft IT applications. You must be able to work independently and to timescales when required to do so.
