Further information

Do you want to make a difference and help reduce Covid-19 transmissions in your community?

Test and Trace remains one of the key methods of identifying and containing the virus.

We are looking to recruit dedicated individuals with great customer service skills and a commitment to helping fight COVID-19 to become Test, Trace and Isolate Officers who will
make outgoing calls to an assigned list of positive COVID-19 cases advising them to self-isolate and identifying their close contacts.

This involves:
o advising positive residents to self-isolate, identifying their contacts and updating systems with contact information to ensure the contacts receive notification to isolate.
o providing support and guidance to residents
o Putting residents in touch with local community and voluntary organisations where appropriate
o Supporting residents to access help and guidance around issues such as poverty, housing and employment issues related to Covid 19 and general welfare concerns
o providing reassurance, emotional support or general assistance such as organising access to food and/or essential supplies
o have a key role in supporting residents to self-isolate by identifying their barriers to self-isolation and putting those contacted in touch with local community and voluntary organisations where appropriate, by linking them with financial/benefits advice or by providing general assistance such as organising priority delivery slots or emergency food delivery/collection.

As a local authority we demonstrate our commitment to the Our North Tyneside Plan through our core values: we listen; we care; we are ambitious, and we are good value for money.

Applications are open on an ongoing basis as the Local Authority looks to create a pool of people able to support with contact tracing. Hours will be variable on an as and when basis and will include weekends.

These posts are fixed term until the 31st March 2022.

We are looking for you to start asap.

For an information discussion please contact Vicky Crennell on 07800 808 466 or email victoria.crennell@northtyneside.gov.uk.
