Are you in your second year of University and looking for an undergraduate work placement within Strategic Finance?

Well, look no further! Here at North Tyneside Council, we are offering a new and exciting opportunity for an undergraduate student to join the Strategic Finance Team for a one-year work placement. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate undergraduate student looking to begin their career in local government Finance.

North Tyneside Council is one of five metropolitan districts that make up Tyne and Wear in the North East of England. We are home to around 202,800 residents and we are a major employer in the borough with over 3,000 people working in a variety of roles delivering a wide range of services for our residents.

What you’ll be getting up to
By joining us you’ll work in an ambitious, caring and inspiring environment which will provide you with invaluable work experience to prepare you for the start of a prosperous career. You will work as part of a dynamic team, providing an excellent Finance service to managers and colleagues across the Authority. You will be exposed to a wide range of challenging and rewarding work projects which will increase your knowledge and skills in the field of Finance. The work you will be involved in will develop your finance skills across a number of disciplines it will prepare you for your future career.

In addition, you will also join a network of interns and graduates on a development programme which aims provides you constant opportunities to learn and grow.
