We are seeking an organised, flexible and meticulous individual to support a number of European Social Fund (ESF) contracts delivered by the Employment and Skills Team. The projects require intensive administration and compliance support to ensure the obligations in our funding contracts are fulfilled.

The post holder will be working on projects that deliver employability support to local residents in the borough with the aim of helping them sustain work and progress in their careers. The role will support paper and electronic systems in terms of verifying;
• Programme eligibility
• ESF eligibility
• Project documentation
• SMART Action Plans and Assessments
• Data integrity (Legible and clear information with any corrections signed and dated accordingly)

The role will also support with the collation of financial information for the claims process including;
• Payroll information
• Project expenditure
• Legitimate expenses
• Administration of pre-payment cards for participant spend

The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, the ability to work accurately at speed and good communication skills. The post will be part of the Employment and Skills Business Support team and link closely with the Employment Advisors, Finance colleagues and Programme Manager to ensure that contractual obligations associated with the funding are met.

You will need to be able to:
• Input and maintain a range of records and undertake monitoring of these records as directed
• Be meticulous in completing paperwork and documenting the resident ‘journey’
• Accurately scan and input data about clients using the service that will show their contact with the service and support the task of tracking clients.
• Demonstrate good ICT skills
• Provide data and monitoring information to the Programme Manager as required by our funders
• Collect, record, compile, manipulate and present manual and computerised data in a number of formats.
• Work closely with the project team to minimise errors and rectify any issues promptly
• Catalogue resources and contribute towards audits
• Be reliable, discreet and responsive to change
• Complete timesheets and check and upload timesheets of project staff
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure the success of the projects

The successful candidate will be supporting projects such as North of Tyne Working Homes Project, Wise Steps and Moving on Tyne and Wear. These projects are funded by the European Social Fund as part of the England 2014 to 2020 European Structural Investment Funds Programme.
