An opportunity has arisen to join the Health and Safety team at Durham County Council as a Health and Safety Advisor

One of the posts is a permanent post which is within the Children & Young Peoples Service (CYPS) and Adult and Health Service (AHS) and one is a 2 year temporary post within the Neighbourhoods and Climate Change and Regeneration Services until approximately 31st August 2023.

The permanent post will support both the Children & Young Peoples Service (CYPS) and Adult and Health Service (AHS) within the Authority whereas the temporary 2 year Health and Safety Advisor Post will be within the Neighbourhoods and Regeneration Services which includes refuse and recycling, clean and green and fleet management.

Previous experience of having worked within these environments or similar would be advantageous.

Candidates should have NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent and be educated to Level 4 or equivalent in a related vocational or professional field.
