A vacancy has arisen for two part time Clerical Officers working 18.5 hours per week. One of the posts is permanent based at The Orchards, Brandon and the other post is based at Seaham Harbour Lodge, Extra Care Scheme and is temporary to cover a period of maternity leave until approximately 31st May 2022 or until the return of the substantive post holder whichever is sooner.

The post holders will provide a clerical service to the Operational Supervisor, to help generate and maintain filing and clerical systems, to maintain high standards of efficiency and confidentiality.

Applicants should hold a NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent together with experience of working with the public in a clerical/administration role.

Covid-19 Vaccination - This role falls within the scope of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021. These Regulations require you to demonstrate that you have received a complete course of your Covid-19 vaccination, unless exemptions apply. A complete course may refer to one or two doses of the vaccine, depending on the type of vaccine. It does not cover booster doses. Extending the policy to cover booster doses would require amending the regulations and be subject to parliamentary approval.

If you are successful and before taking up the role you will be required to provide evidence of this as part of your pre-employment checks.
