First Class Supply work with Special Education Need Schools throughout Blyth who require Teachers to work with SEND pupils on both a 1-1 and small group basis.  A variety of settings are available providing opportunities for you to work within your preferred special needs environment which includes Autism.

Ranges of daily and short-term positions are available, where you will be able to establish good working relationships within the teams of specific schools.  There are options for full or part time hours, meaning we are able to provide you with a position that suits your lifestyle. For those interested in longer-term positions, we will be happy to discuss potential roles.  This is also an excellent opportunity if you are seeking permanent employment as introductions to new schools often leads to future positions.

  • be able to work independently on either a 1-1 or small group basis be pro-active, enthusiastic,energetic and reliable
  • be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises
  • be able to demonstrate a positive impact on pupil development
  • have excellent classroom management which promotes positive behaviour
  • be able to demonstrate resilience
  • be understanding of the individual needs of pupils which may have contributed to them moving to the provision
  • hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS
