Hartlepool Borough Council are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Manager to provide safeguarding supervision to Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL’s) in schools across Hartlepool and Stockton-On-Tees; as part of their Safeguarding Children Partnership arrangements.

Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership is a multi-agency partnership whose aim is to “ensure that every child in Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees feels safe, secure and is protected from harm; enabling them to reach their full potential”.

This exciting new post aims to deliver an innovative approach to collaboration between Children’s Social Care (CSC) services and schools. With knowledge of theory and research that underpins children and families work, the post holder will support Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) in their role; providing monthly reflective supervision across schools within the two local authority areas.

We are looking for reflective practitioners who are committed to continuous improvement, who have a proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with children, families and stakeholders. You must have good communication & assessment skills, be able to work autonomously and as part of a team. The post holder will possess a recognised Social Work qualification that permits registration with Social Work England.

The post is open to both internal and external candidates. Secondment opportunities considered; with line manager agreement.
