Further information

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor; whose role it is to provide a complementary service to existing teachers and pastoral staff in the school: addressing the needs of children who need help to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside the school in order to achieve their full potential.

Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff and students is central to this role and therefore the ability to build strong and positive relationships is essential, as well as a flexible and adaptable approach to working in a busy and demanding environment. The successful candidate will ideally have demonstrable experience to engage constructively with, and relate to, a wide range of young people and families/carers with different ethnic and social backgrounds

A completed application form, criminal records declaration form and equalities monitoring form must be submitted by 9am on Monday 10th May 2021 to: heather.bell@churchillcc.org. Please note that we do not accept CVs. The interviews will take place week commencing 17th May 2021.

This post is 37 hours per week, term time only over 193 days, fixed term until the 31st August 2022.

Please contact Caroline Stephen, Assistant Headteacher, at caroline.stephen@churchillcc.org if you have any queries about the post.

Churchill Community College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As such an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant employment checks deemed appropriate.
