We are looking to appoint a Team Manager with the relevant skills and abilities to deliver a multi-agency safeguarding first contact service.

Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, together with Middlesbrough Council and Cleveland Police have developed a Multi-Agency Children’s Hub.

We are seeking to recruit a Team Manager who is the best in their field and driven by delivering the best possible safeguarding services.

Working as part of a wider management team, you will manage a diverse team which will provide the ‘front door’ services (which include safeguarding and early help) on behalf of both Redcar & Cleveland and Middlesbrough.

As the successful candidate, you will support the Service Manager to deliver an efficient and effective first contact service for all enquiries and referrals into the Children and Families Service; including the provision of accurate and timely information, advice and guidance, and referrals to the appropriate level of service from early help to specialist and safeguarding provision.

You will be a seasoned professional social worker with a final Professional Social Work Qualification e.g. BA SW. You will have knowledge of the legislative framework for Children’s Services and knowledge of the continuum of need for children and young people.

You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to drive change and implement improvements. With the ability to maintain a strong team ethos and a goal-orientated approach, you will gain and maintain the respect of key partners. You will be politically aware and be able to work effectively with Senior Managers, Elected Members and a diverse range of professional colleagues.
