We currently have a vacancy for a Unit Supervisor at Collingwood Primary School, North Shields. We are looking for an enthusiastic manager with a flair for producing great school meals.

The successful candidate should be self motivated and will be expected to lead by example by providing excellent levels of customer service, mentoring, motivating and training a small catering team to achieve their full potential whilst ensuring excellent standards of food service at all times.

Previous supervisory experience within education catering is desirable. You must have first class people skills with an ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and positive.

You must share the ethos of the school in providing a warm, secure and friendly environment where children will enjoy your food.

This post is permanent, term time only over 190 days, 32.5 hours per week.

This post is term time only over 190 days when school is open. In addition you will contractually required to be available, should the service require it, to work five call-in days in our Community Meals Kitchen and three cleaning days, both of which occur during school holidays.

Please be advised that this position will require an Enhanced Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
